WORK SCOPE:

PIPELAYING

Offshore, shallow water and shore pull pipe installation supported by in-house fleet and experienced teams.

Dredging works of any type using our own specialized dredging fleet. Cutter section dredger. Dredging with a cutter suction dredger takes place while the vessel is moored with spuds or anchors and consists of powerful cutting action combined with suction. Backhoe dredger. A backhoe dredger (BHD) is a hydraulic excavator installed on a pontoon. Dredging is executed by the excavator which is mounted on a turntable at the front of the pontoon. The backhoe dredger is mainly used for dredging in shallow or confined waters. Trailing suction hopper dredger Trailing suction hopper dredgers can fill their own holds (hoppers) by sucking material from the seabed using a trailing suction head fitted to pipes that trail over the bed as the ship sails.

CABLE LAYING

Full in-house capacity for offshore cables handling, transpooling and installation.

We provide end-to-end subsea cable installation services, covering nearshore, shallow water, and deep-water sections, delivered with in-house assets and international best practices.

DREDGING

Full-suite of dredging solutions including cutters, backhoe and trailing suction hopper dredgers.

ONSHORE CONSTRUCTION AND PORT CONSTRUCTION

Building and maintaining ports, channels, quay walls, and reclaimed land.

Extensive experience constructing and maintaining ports and waterways. Our activities include dredging port access channels, inner channels, turning basins and mooring berths and constructing breakwaters utilizing our versatile fleet of trailing suction hopper dredgers, cutter suction dredgers and backhoes. Where additional land is needed for port development, we reclaim harbor islands and land for yards and terminals. In addition, we construct quay walls and offer soil improvement by compacting and vertical/horizontal drainage.

SUBSEA DIVING OPERATIONS

Professional air and saturation diving operations down to 300m depth.

We own and operate a mobile 9-man SAT diving system with HRC, giving us full control over operational quality for construction support, inspections and environmental tasks.

QUALITY & SAFETY

Quality occupational Health & Safety environmental protection security

The management of OMCC are committed to ensuring healthy, injury-free workplaces and minimizing their impact on the environment. All of our staff are committed both to ensuring their own safety and to protecting the environment.

Implementation of a quality management system

By implementing an integrated management system, OMCC has demonstrated its commitment to ensuring its employees’ safety and protecting the environment, in addition to providing high-quality heavy-lift transport. To ensure a consistently high level of quality OMCC aligns its business processes to tap synergies whilst ensuring and fostering a culture of continual improvement in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard under which we are certified. In addition to the objectives defined in our QHSE policy, OMCC ’s employees receive appropriate training, both on board and ashor.

Striving for operational excellence in HSE

In line with our QHSE policy, our Quality & Safety department works to implement this policy in our fleet of vessels. By stressing three key aspects – people, processes, and tools – they strive to enable our crews to bolster the culture of safety which thrives at OMCC. This culture involves closely monitoring projects from the planning stages all the way to successful completion. Because of the delicate nature of most heavy lift cargoes, they perform risk assessments, hold toolbox talks and ensure the maintenance of critical equipment to optimize safety during loading, sea passage and discharge.

HSE training and awareness

To keep our shipboard teams fully informed about the latest HSE practices, OMCC runs a comprehensive training program involving regular seminars in Germany and the Philippines. Our crews have the opportunity to provide feedback, both on aspects where we could all improve and on improvements which have already been successfully introduced. Members of our Quality & Safety department frequently board the vessels to carry out and monitor operations and training activities and participate in on-board safety committees.

Marine Dredging: What It Is and How It's Done

Marine dredging refers to the removal of sediments and deposits from the sea bottom to increase depth. These activities are widely used to improve navigation routes, expand maritime ports, protect coastal lines, and implement ecological projects.

Why Are Dredging Activities Carried Out?

Seaways and marine waters require regular maintenance because natural sedimentation constantly accumulates, reducing channel depths. This diminishes traffic capacity and makes it difficult for large ships such as container vessels and tankers to navigate safely. By conducting dredging operations, safe passage for these massive ships can be ensured while maintaining stable maritime trade infrastructure.

Additionally, dredging work is essential for ecological rehabilitation of aquatic ecosystems. Removing toxic waste and silt helps restore cleanliness to coastal zones and create favorable living conditions for marine life.

How Do Dredging Projects Take Place?

Dredger vessels, including hydraulic, mechanical, and self-propelled types, remove and transport underwater soil to maintain navigable channels. This ensures safe passage for large ships, supports stable maritime trade, and protects marine ecosystems. By removing sediments and pollutants, dredging helps restore coastal areas and create healthier conditions for marine life.

HSE Training and Awareness

To ensure our shipboard teams remain up to date with the latest HSE practices, OMCC conducts a comprehensive training program that includes regular seminars. Crews are encouraged to share feedback, both on areas for potential improvement and on measures already successfully implemented. In addition, members of our Quality & Safety department regularly visit vessels to oversee and support operations, conduct training activities, and take part in onboard safety committees.
